Warmth and openness- how to walk the talk

“Having thoughts that are clear, fair and noble is not all.. It is necessary for these thoughts to come down into the heart and will, to be expressed through feelings and then through corresponding actions. Many people have good judgment and excellent ideas, but of what use are these if they do not translate into actions of the same quality? Often, the contrast between people’s ideas and the reality of their daily lives is such that they only experience disappointment. And on top of this, they do not understand what is happening to them – quite simply, they have not been able to create a connection between high and low through their feelings. Thought does not have the ability to affect matter directly: to act on matter and transform it, it needs the intermediary of feeling. So work also on your feelings, by being warmer and more open to others.- in this way. your ideas will become flesh and bone and be translated into action”. The Voice of Silence

“Silence, peace and harmony are all expressions of the same reality. Do not think that silence is empty and mute, no, silence is alive and vibrant, it speaks and sings. One day, thanks to contemplation, prayer and meditation, you will manage to hear the voice of silence. Once all the chaotic forces within you have finally subsided, silence will draw closer, it will spread all around you and enfold you in its marvelous mantle… You must understand that silence is the condition absolutely indispensable for the true Word, for true revelations. During silence, little by little, you begin to sense the messages which come to you, a voice begins to speak to you. It is this voice which warns, guides and protects you….. If you do not hear it, it’s because you are making too much noise, not only on the physical plane, but also in your thoughts and feelings. If you want this voice to speak to you , you must install silence within yourself.  This voice is sometimes called ‘the voice of silence’; …

Why do we fall in love?

Most men and women don’t know what it is that attracts them to one another. They are aware of an attraction but unaware of what gives rise to it. It isn’t people’s youth, beauty, wealth or power that inspires love. These assets may motivate some people to spend time with a person, but what they are experiencing isn’t real love, for if this person loses one or another of these external advantages, the others will abandon him or her in no time. What is the origin, then, of this attraction that gives rise to love? Two entities, two energies, encounter each other in space, and imponderable, fluidic exchanges are established magnetically between them. It is this encounter that gives birth to love, with each receiving from the other the elements he or she lacks and has been unable to find elsewhere. We are often astonished by the ties that develop between certain people; on the face of it, nothing should have brought them together. Well, this can be explained by those subtle exchanges that take …

Sacred Fire of Divine Love

Just as physical fire has the power to make iron sufficiently pliant and tractable to be given a new form, so the heavenly fire of divine love has the power to plunge man into a state in which he sloughs off his warped, crooked form and receives a new, bright, harmonious one. So, in order to change all your old ideas and habits and transform your character, and even your heredity, you must call on heavenly fire. You must beg it to come into you, to envelop and enflame your heart and your whole being. Do not rely on explanations from other people or from books: they can do nothing for you if you are not alight with the blazing fire that makes you as alive as the sun. For the sun is living fire, and it is by going to see the sun rise every morning that we renew our contact with this fire from heaven. If you forge a close bond with the sun, if, wholeheartedly and with all the powers of your …

Summer Solstice: Secrets of Alchemy and Sublimation

“The traditional literature of all countries contains innumerable legends and accounts of mythological battles between the forces of light and darkness. On about June 21, with the Summer Solstice, we enter the period in which light triumphs over darkness, and a few days later on June 24th, we celebrate the feast of St John the Baptist. On that date it is customary to light fires that burn all night. The Summer Solstice is ruled by the Archangel Uriel who is an archangel of light: his name means ‘God is my light’. The feast of St John coincides with the moment when the sun enters Cancer- the sign in which Venus is in exaltation- and this is no chance coincidence, for the feast of St John is the feast of fire, the feast of the summer heat which ripens fruit and all other things in nature, But this fire is also the fire of physical, sensual love and it is well known that, in some countries, the night of St John was the occasion for all …

New moon and new beginnings

As you know, the lunar cycle lasts about one month: the moon waxes for fourteen days and wanes for another fourteen, and this alternation affects and changes many things in nature and in human beings. We can say that the period of the waxing moon is a time for activity, whereas, on the contrary, when it is on the wane, the emphasis is on somnolence, oblivion and rest. Those who do not know that these natural rhythms exist might be worried by the changes that they feel in themselves while the moon is on the wane. There is no need to worry; the important thing is to take care not to use up all one’s reserves. Even if the lucidity, intensity and efficacy  that we bring to our work while the moon is on the wane are not as great as when it is waxing we can still continue something that we have already begun. If you inaugurate some important work or activity, on the other hand, it is more likely to succeed if you …

Finding love without looking

Are you looking for love? Well, that is why you do not find it. You may say, ‘But I need love so much! How can I find it if I don’t look for it?’ If you really want to find love, first start by giving love, and stop looking for it. You will then find that it follows you around, and even if you want to get rid of it you will not be able to. If you chase it out of the door, it will come back in through the window! Yes, as soon as you stop looking for it, having decided to give it instead, it will come to you. So the more you look for it, the further away it gets. It is like chasing your shadow: it flees ahead of you, and you can never catch it. If you look for love from others, you are focusing on something outside yourself, so you distance yourself from the treasure you already have inside you, and you end up losing it. That is …
