Ocean of light- true knowledge and freedom

In order to transcend the limits of their consciousness,  disciples of initiatic science must learn to project themselves up to great heights, to the sublime Being that embraces and nourishes every creature. A disciple seeks to know how this Being envisions the destiny of mankind, what its plans are for the disciple’s own evolution, not just in the near future, but more importantly, in the distant future. And it is through striving to draw closer and closer to this immense, luminous and perfect Being that disciples are able to detach themselves. A transformation takes place within them, in their subconscious, in their consciousness, and in their super consciousness, and what they then feel and experience is indescribable. This practice is one of the most beneficial: by devoting themselves to it every day, disciples distance themselves from their limited ego and dissolve into this ocean of light which is God. It is here that they receive true knowledge and discover freedom. Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov Finding God in light

The angels of the four elements : self- transformation

Earth, water, air, fire – the four elements – are governed by angels, the servants of God. That is why we ask the Lord to send us these angels to help us in our spiritual work. Here is a prayer: ‘Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, Master of the universe, send me your servants, the angels of the earth, water, air and fire, so that I may work with them for the coming of your kingdom and your justice. May the Angel of earth absorb all that is unclean in my physical body, so that I am able to carry out your will and express your splendour! May the Angel of water wash my heart of all impurities, so that it becomes a receptacle of your infinite love! May the Angel of air purify my intellect, so that it shines with your light and your wisdom! Finally, Lord, send me the Angel of fire, that it may sanctify my soul and spirit, so that they become the dwelling place of thy truth!’ Omraam …

Pressure created the diamond

The diamond is considered the most precious stone. But what does a diamond begin as? Carbon- which in graphite is black. Well, this carbon, as a result of tremendous pressure and very high temperature, transforms over time into a diamond, the most brilliant of all stones. When people look in wonder at a diamond, they consider only its appearance and the qualities it now displays. They do not pause to think what it has had to undergo to acquire its brilliance, hardness and resilience, which make it so remarkable. In the same way, when we are before a great sage, a great initiate, we are amazed at the light and strength that emanate from him; we do not think of the difficulties he has had to overcome to acquire them. The history of an initiate is in some ways similar to the history of the diamond. At first, he too may have been only simple carbon, but thanks to the enormous pressures he has had to endure (his ordeals) and the great heat he has …

Easter- the mystery of death and rebirth

‘If you do not die, you shall not live’, said Jesus. The idea of resurrection, then, is linked with death and disintegration. If the seed does not die, it prevents the manifestation of the power of life buried in it. In a human being, it is the lower self that must die to leave room for the Spirit, the divine principle, which is then free to act and transform everything… The secret of the resurrection is before our eyes in Nature, waiting for us to understand it and decide to die consciously so as to become a new being…… ‘If you do not die, you shall not life…’ To die means to be melted into the Infinite whilst God takes the place vacated by you. God now reigns in you, no longer do you care about your life, you are willing to disappear, to have God take your place. If you really insist and keep on insisting He will be obliged to capitulate, because you are using the same methods he uses! God cannot say, …
